What you see in the mirror pleases you, it means you're happy!

I don't really know what to say in this post, nor how to say it, but I know I need to say certain things! (lot of "say" right?)

I want to talk about appearence, about our physical appearence and the importance we give to it!

I think I felt the need to write these lines because I have the feeling that today, our physical appearence should be on fleek, should please the society's and the people's expectations... We have to appear as perfect as possible to people, or we will be left apart, judged...

I feel really disgusted about all this stuff! We all say "be yourself", but my question is "How coul you be yourself if we prevent from wearing these clothes, or making that haircut, or refusing to go on a diet because they think you're too big?".

I have the impression that the rules today are :
- Wear makeup
- Be fit
- Have long and straight hair (or Something this way)
- Don't have hair anywhere!
- Don't wear too excentric clothes
 and I surely forget some!
Don't you have that feeling too?

Didn't you feel at least once in your life, rejected because you had an anormal style, you didn't wear any makeup, you didn't shave your hair, you were too big...?
Do you really think it's normal? And do you ever feel safe when you get out of your home/go to school if you had any of these stuff?

The world seems so superficial to me! (in the way that people judge us on our appearance, I don't mean everyone should stop wearing makeup etc! They're not superficial as long as they do it for themselves and don't judge the others on their appearance!)
Just remember that being unique, is being yourself; and being yourself is being free!
And then if you're free, you'll be happy!

But sometimes, the people's look on us, their judgement, prevent us from doing what we really want deep Inside us!

I have lived so many years for other people! to please them and to be "ignored" (I mean that no one will ever say Something mean to me if my appearence was satisfying to them, and then I won't cry at night if I please them).
Just ask yourself this question : What will change in your life if people say mean things on you? How can they define you? How can they know you better than you do just because you didn't wear makeup today?
You're the only one to know what you Worth! And that's only what matters the most! Nothing and no one should ever control the way you want to look!

If they say some mean things on you, they're the ones to blame... Because they didn't get the fact that people should respect the others no matter what their physical appearence is like! If they can't stop judging people on that, they're the ones to blame! And you're not because you decided to live freely, and be yourself, the true yourself deep Inside you, and this is why you're the best person ever!

If you want to wear makeup, or wear these clothes or anything, do it because YOU wanna do this and not the others!

"Being your authentic self is the way to happiness"!

Tell me in the comments if you had any experience with this, and if you have any tips to give to people who still don't dare to live fully!

Love,
Marion.
